When the Payne Family left Saturna Island they moved to North Saanich where one of their daughters, Katherine, had met and married Frank Clifford Adams. The Adams and Payne families had been acquaintances and Walter Adams (father of Cliff) had sailed with the Payne family whilst they lived on Saturna.
